car egged

so some nutless piece of **** egged my car at night and I washed it off the following morning 7am.

I used soap from the kitchen, i was in a rush to get to work...

should I worry about the clear coat?

thanks guys no time to search and i do know that leaving egg to cook on a hot car for awhile could be bad. my situation was a little different

As long as it didn't sit in the sun, and you completely cleaned all residue off, it should be fine.

^+1 yup,... depending on how hard they threw them. Ive seen cars where it was washed off the next morning and the paint itself in a circle was chipping, but if you didnt notice that you should be fine.

I hate people like that, my bro's truck was egged a couple nights ago and we just washed it in the morning but so far so good. The only downfall is where the eggs hit because it chipped the paint.

As long as the egg wasn't frying on your car in the sun, you will be fine. Chips are another story.

This. Someone egged my car last summer. Luckily it was in the middle of the night, and I saw it within two hours of when it happened. It was still dark, I washed it off immediately, and the paint was never damaged. I was surprised that the egg shells didn't even scratch the paint.

I was so pissed, and I was pretty sure I knew who did it. I even grabbed some eggs and was about to egg a car or two parked near the house of the people I suspected. But since I wasn't sure if they owned those cars, my conscious took over and I didn't do anything. Some people's kids...

That kills me how some people just ruin other peoples stuff, just cause it's better than theirs or they're jealous of what you have.
Hopefully something like this happened the same night to teach them a lesson!

hahaha.. i've done some things i'm not proud of but honestly.. i've never egged or keyed a vehicle in my life. why? even if i was mad enough at someone to do that.. i would not risk having my own car messed with, not worth it and that is what being the bigger person is all about imo.

one egg hit my hood near the window, luckily none got thru the vent and on the engine. other egg hit the rear passenger door. i think it was a random drive by egging, i didn't look to see if other cars got it

to quote john travolta from pulp fiction, "you don't f*ck with another man's vehicle"
