Gas question

What kind of gas you guys put in your evo VIII? Like what brand? Do you feel a difference between brands as far as mileage?

I like Shell V-power. The mileage is the same but it has nice cleaning properties. I noticed a big difference when I drove an N/A car and have stuck with it ever since.

I always try to buy brand name gas (Shell, Sunoco, BP). Or companies that are registered with top tier www.toptiergas.com. I don't really notice a difference between them, but the car runs well so that's all that matters.

One time on a road trip out west, I had to stop at some no-name gas station on I-80, filled up with their 93, and I felt a huge drop in power. The car ran like crap. The next time I filled up the car ran fine, so I know it was the gas.

Also, I remember David Buschur posting about people buying Valero gas on the Ohio turnpike on the way to his shop and how bad it was.

Most gas comes from the same refinery; it's what the companies add to it before they sell it that makes a difference.

A guy I know did a dyno pull with cheveron and shell v power both 91 pump gas and found out shell v power made a lil more power. Both brands are very good though.

I use Shell V-Power 98% of the time, almost always from the same gas station. I've only used Chevron and maybe Mobil the other 2% of the time, and that's only if I'm running extremely low on fuel and can't find a Shell nearby.

I use Chevron most of the time. Where I can't find one, I'll settle for 76 or Shell. Never used anything other than the three.

But honestly, I can't tell the difference.

I use Sunoco exclusively. There's a bunch of them around me and usually are pretty competitive with prices. All the Shell's here are ridiculously expensive and there's only a couple that I can even think of around

I almost only buy chevron cause its price/location from my daily drive.

One thing to note though, never fill up if the big supply truck is there. You could end up with the stations tank sediment in your car clogging the filter.
