Are you the original owner?
Brand new in September '06 with 7 miles in the odo from South Coast Mitsubishi. Drove home cross country to Georgia. Currently has 12,500 miles. I can count on one hand how many times I've been caught in the rain while I was driving it. It continues to amaze me everytime I pull it out for an occasional weekend spin. Lightly modded but still reliable and still has that new car smell.
I am the first owner of my 2006 TB Evo IX. Bought it in November 2005 with 7 miles on it. It was the model on the showroom floor and I absolutely had to have it. I traded in a 2004 SRT-4 for it, which was the best move I have ever made in my car buying days. My Evo currently has 59000 miles and I plan on keeping it forever.
I wish I was the first owner, but at the time the '05 EVO RS was released I was out of the US.
I picked up my RS w/only 7,300 miles on the od. I bought it from a 5X year old man that took it away from his 21 year old son who didn't make the car payments like he promised. The first owner only owned it from JUN 05 to 2 AUG 06. The mods on it at the time of purschase was an Exedy double plate clutch, SS clutch line and metal shift knob.

Well I am an 03' evo 8 owner and I am chiming in!
I bought mine new with 7 miles on it at the end of the summer of 04' and I still love my car. I drove it stock except for ATEC bronze wheels on Hankook Icebears, Ralliart shift knob, and a Perrin drop in filter for almost the entire 36K mile warranty (pretty worthless, see below), .
I was anxious to upgrade things, but completely satisfied and did not want to take any warranty chances.
At 20K, I took it into the dealership to tell them about a 2nd gear syncro problem.
They said, "I do not see anything wrong with your car". They said, "...take us for a ride and show us what your talking about". I said, "...see right there" and they said, "...we are not covering it because it is due to your driving". I wanted to say f$&% y&u. I then figured even if something did happen in the next 10k miles they would not fix it anyway.
Mitsubishi warranty sucks which is my only complaint.
At 25K, the clutch went out and I decided to do some upgrades: ShepTrans, Exedy twin with flywheel, AMS shifter bushings, and clutch lines.
Made the drive train strong, but regret not doing the transfer case.
At 35K, I hit a raccoon that ruined the intercooler, front bumper, and under tray. Here, I did all body mods: Kaminari body kit, Beatrush underpanel, Seibon trunk, APR GTC 200 wing with risers, and VIS cf vortex generator.
I am now very happy with how it looks.
I am 51K now and want more power. It has been way to long at the stock 271 horse. I am gathering parts for a GT35R turbo upgrade. This is a lot of money for me and I have enough. I have road in a 430hsp and 650hsp evo here in town and I was very impressed. I can't wait until I get this added power that is long overdue.
I love my car in the summer time because it looks great, it handles great in the winter driving through the snow, and if you through a few dollars at it you can unlock a lot of power. For me it has been reliable. I was only stuck once when a small coolant hose broke.
I do not plan to sell it anytime soon and with every part I add gives me great satisfaction!!!

I bought it new from Auffenberg Mitsubishi in Saint Louis for I think $27-28K. I traded in of a 03 Mazda Protege Mazdaspeed.
I lost my shirt of $6K on the trade in, but they gave me more than if I sold it privately. It dropped like a rock after only 1 year of owning it.
I should have bought what I wanted the first time. At least I got a good deal on the evo since it was there last 03 on the lot to offset my loss on my trade in.
I'm the second owner of my car. I bought mine from the son of a guy who I did some consulting work for when it had only 5k miles on it.
I could have sworn I was out of the import game because at the time I was driving a Mercedes Benz but I went for a ride with him one day and he let me drive it and I fell in love.
From that day forward I told him and his dad if they ever wanted to sell it that I would take it in a heart beat... this was in 2006 and since then its come quite a long way with tons of mods and money, most recently a ton of work from AWD Motorsports down here in Florida. I would post all about it again but I don't think its allowed so if your interested in finding out more PM me or check through my threads I have commented in and wrote myself recently.
