Why so difficult
Why so difficult
I had a misfire problem a couple days ago so I changed the plugs and it took care of that. Now whenever I accelerate hard it bogs down and doesn't accelerate very well.
I had an egr line off earlier and I reconnected that. Could it maybe be that the car was tuned to run without the egr line hooked up?

The plugs fixed the problem from my last post. It's not a bog from a misfire anymore. It feels more like when an you hammer an automatic and it takes a bit to shift. Except it happens when I get to about 4k in 2nd through 5th
They were all .24 cept one that was .35 :S but I set it down to .24 so now their all the same. My CEL just came back on so I'll have to check it tomorrow but the last 3 codes it threw was p0429, p0300, and p0401. When I connected that egr line it took care of the 429 and 401. But it still had the 300.

the p0300 is a common code to be thrown. pretty much all 9s throw that code. also sometimes there is a slight throttle stick in 9s. i had that problem for awhile and just let it go and now it has stopped but i would still get it looked into. i just didnt have the money or at the time wasn't able to get friends to check it out for me.

You can disable the P0300 code if necessary. The routines of P0300 code are really long and by disabling it allows the ECU to do more important things.
Take a look at the TephraMod, or the thead that mrfred made about disabling the P0300 code - it will make the car run much smoother

iridiums are not supposed to be gapped do to the fact that you could damage the tip. Im not saying you cant, but just be careful when you do it. Changing the gap helped you because you were blowing out the spark and the shorter gap allowed for a "stronger" spark.
