Don't risk your car, it should be fine as long as you take it easy but your taking a big risk.

Or, or install them the day before you get tuned.

Also, if you don't have your base map for the kelfords, your car will hunt for idle and want to stall at stop lights.

Thats right the untuned ecu will try to compensate for the cams and you will have a hardtime before the tune, install them the day before the tune or at the tuner.

Hmm lots of good points have been brought up...

Im about an hour away from the shop im getting it tuned at, so ill most likely have to do HIGHWAY driving the whole way there.

For those of you who said just put them in at the shop, do you mean have the "shop" put the cams in? Or me putting the cams in "myself" at the there "shop"

That would be pretty cool if choice two was actually allowed, not sure

As long as you aren't running around at WOT there is nothing to worry about.

A had to do this as I was out of state when I installed my cams and had to wait for a tune.

Do you have a RS or a Sti??? Kinda weird that you drive a STi but talk like you have a Evo. For the Op, you should be fine driving around but just don't hit boost until you get a TUNED.

log for knock and afr's..

Also your putting a rather large cam in it may not idle well.

I would just get a basemap from your tuner pre-flashed

I say do it the weekend before your tune and DON'T forget to bleed the lifters. Get AAA and have it towed... no point in risking anything.
