Engine idle is revving high please help.

Engine idle is revving high please help.
When I start the car it usually idles at 1500 to 2000 rpms. But now its staying at a constant 2500 rpms. Can anyone help me out please.
i currently have the same problem im trying to work this thing out but please keep up to date with your progress and ill do the same. These are methods ive tried so far, took off the tb and cleaned any gunk off of it, took off the iac motor to see if it made any sound when car is turned over(mine did something but not too sure), and preformed a boost leak test with no result. i also checked the throttle cable for binding next im going to swap some stuff off my boys evo to see if anything help ill keep you posted

Remove IAC beat it to death on your hand and wd 40 it throw it back on and drive it until you can afford an IAC motor. Becareful reinstalling it make sure you torque them to spec the bolts are weak.

I just checked my bank accounts....not worried about money. where do I pick one of those up? Thanks for the info.
AMS or any mitsu parts department. I dont worry about money to much either until i find out how much a ridiculous part cost. Id rather find a low mileage junk yard one and spend the rest of the moeny on a synapse bov!
I had the same problem and turns out its the idle air control parts inside the TB that came loose.
You will have to take the TB off the manifold, then take the Idler air control off the TB, then look inside where the IAC was. you should see a round "donut" plastic piece that should have been attached to the IAC shaft. its 2 pieces that made a "donut" shape, put it back togeter on to the IAC shaft and CAREFULLY put everything back together. hope it helps.
