untuned with mods

I recently was looking at evos that I could make a dedicated track car for as little as money as possiable. I came accross an 05 gsr with catless turbo back, boost controller, intake and a few other mods. The car had a recon tittle with theft recovery on it. Kinda low miles for only 12,500 with only one problem...a missfire on #4. With a lot of new ignition components the car still missfired. So with all these mods and new parts I just had to ask the guy who tuned it. He says " nobody " I was shocked! It never hurts to ask so of course I diddnt buy it. I dont know how well evos take to mods on stock tunes but im sure all these mods are surley the culprit for the missfire. Wouldnt be suprised if it had burned a valve or something.

Not sure. But Evo surprisingly run good with mods without a tune depending on the mods. Even though it isnt smart running without a tune, but alot of evos are doing it.
My friend has an VIII with many many bolt ons, cams, gears fuel mods and so forth, and he has been untuned for a year. I keep telling him to go get tuned, but he never does. Not sure how long his car will last, or what damages are being done lol.

Read the plugs? What do they look like, especially #4? Maybe see who can jump in and just do a quick flash on it if anything to maybe smooth some things out?

Whats the point of putting mods on if you dont get the most out of them? I was really shocked when he said that it was not tuned. I know STi's dont take to mods well at all without a tune. Hell mine blew up dead stock with no abuse.
