i actually did all mine with #6 and still would push the dipstick out at about 24lbs so went up to the #8. the reason i didnt do #10 or even bigger (i have #12 on my supra, bigger is better) is the catch can i have and the fittings i wanted to use due to size restrictions on the valve cover are 3/8ths and a 3/8ths npt to 10an adaptor actually reduces inside the adaptor down to the same size as the #8 so no real benefit in my opinion. i drilled and tapped my own valve cover to accept these fittings and i believe the aftermarket "kits" use press in fittings that are less than #6 internally. when you pull out the pressed in fitting for the pcv there is no drilling required just use a 3/8th npt tap and tap the existing hole. the other end of the other side of the valve cover is a bit tricky though. if you were to just start drilling using the center of the hole after the pressed in tube is removed the fitting would be off the top of the cover. hard to explain but you should see what i am talking about. the center of the new hole need to be below the center of the pressed in tube. this is where a drill press would be nice but i have done it 3 times now with just carefully enlarging the hole towards the bottom of the valve cover.

I run the deluxe can from JMFab with the -AN lines and use the STM -AN valve cover fittings. Works great

So what if it's not baffled...?

You can use a Poland Springs plastic water bottle with a filter on top and it would do the same thing.

A catch can's job in life is to 'catch' the blow by oil and to vent the crankcase - which the JMFab catch can does.

"Working" is debatable. Sure it traps some oil vapor but not as much as a baffled design would. Some "work" better than others.

this is very true and if i was shopping for a catch can i would go with one with baffles and some kind of filter media in it for the simple reason when idling at a traffic light i get smoke coming up thru the vent in the hood and looks like something is wrong with the car......
