New Evo Help

Hey guys. I'm looking into possibly buying an Evo for a project car. What is your suggestion for the best platform to work on if I'm looking into doing time attack, drag and giant power? Choices are Evo VIII (GSR or MR) or Evo IX (GSR or MR).

Thanks for the help guys.

If you're going to time attack or Drag just get an Evo that's never been hit (chassis damage) and build it ground up. Best start would be RS. There is one on here for 25K Fully dragged out

I'm in the same boat, but through all my research, I'd say the RS, it pretty much mimics the body of the MR (lighter roof/trunk, etc.) but it's got the 5spd tranny which is definitely a lot tougher than the 6spd
