MUSE IC pipes backorderd, wait or get weapon r?

So I ordered the MUSE short route upper IC pipe and lower to go with it. The pipes are back ordered till 12/16. The Company that I ordered it from gave me an option to go with the weapon R setup and save a few bucks.

Advise?

A pipe is a pipe, I'm not a brand *****, I just like stuff that works. Anyone running the weapon R INTERCOOLER pipes?

I know weapon R was ALMOST an APC type company but eh, like I said; a pipe in a pipe in most cases. Im not Ryan Gates this is a street car, my weekend fun car so I don't need 1,000,000 dollar parts that do only 1% more then the copies.

ditch them both and go ETS. i think the muse is a knockoff of the ETS, so i'd wait for that if not go for the ETS. i'd stay away from weapon R. a pipe is not a pipe when the shape makes a difference. also, the material (mild steel vs stainless or aluminum) makes a big difference. couplers, and clamps also make a difference.

Thanks for the input ! Ill check the delta on pricing with the ETS setup.

Anyone else? Most people seemed to have pretty good results with the muse pipes.

go with a company that did some R&D ( research and development ) and not just copy a product. Ets is a good choice, so is Nisei, I think both of them have developed their own pipe kits.

Please stop spreading rumors, the Muse pipes are not a knock off & all R&D (not sure if you can call it that) but fabbing was done on my personal evo. Just because something is less expensive and not as well known doesn't mean it's a knock off.

The Muse pipes will be in on Monday if you're still looking for a set!

I decided to stick with the muse

They are good pipes AND I think they are bang for the buck.

Well I'd always heard that the muse pipe was a copy of the ETS, and they do look identical. I never said the muse was a bad piece. I just recommended he go with ETS if he didn't want to wait on the muse. weapon R, however, is crap.

I'd def agree with the Weapon R statment but the Muse and ETS kits are actually a bit different. While the LICP uses the same 1 piece no weld design the ETS uses a different bend and transition coupler

There's only so many ways you can build a pipe and coming into the market this late into the game I can see how it'd be easy to assume it's a copied item.

when I was looking for pipes, that's what I was told. I almost got the muse pipe, but they were out of stock, and i'd heard the most positive remarks about the ETS kit so I ended up going with the entire ETS setup, upper and lower.
