Here is the follow-up to this... Evo Folk changing your gauge cluster lights...
If you are using Superbrightleds.com's NeoWedge series LED Lamp, you need the 5mm LED, and you will have to trim the twist/lock piece... it is a hair too wide. Trimming the plastic twist/lock piece is really easy with a box-cutter.
Just giving everyone a heads up. It is not a perfect fit with the 5mm (you will need to trim the one piece, but other than that... all good), and I tried the 4mm and they are too small.
I bought 5 of the HP ones in red. Looks great.
Good luck!

This actually looks really nice. I'm not sure if all Evo 8/9s have pretty dim cluster lights to begin with since I bought a used 9, but this would be a huge improvement over my dim lights.

Bringing this back from the dead, sorry for the bump.
However, after pulling out my dead bulbs, I replaced them with the 5mm LED's from superbright and still the cluster doesn't light up. I've tried removing themand flipping the bulbs around thinking maybe they were put in backwards but still nothing.
Any ideas? My odometer still lights up, along with the HVAC controls but no lighting behind the gauges work. All warning and signal lights are fine.
