Probably some lazy *** mechanic was in there before and forgot it and/or dropped it and never got it back out. Happens all the time - tools are dropped in weird places and the guy working on your car says, meh, it's not mine.

 

Yeah, on second thought, since cars are a guy thing, you'd probably just end up with a car full of dudes.
