p0011 code help!
Ok guys,
Ive had this code for over 2 years now.. I need to pass emissions now, unfortunately. This code appeared after cam installation.
Things Ive done to get rid of the code:
-All new belts.
-Timing checked, rechecked and rechecked. Spot on
-MIVEC gear changed
-Stock intake cam installed (pin is in the hole)
-New intake position cam sensor installed
-Filter on head's oil line was checked.
-Tune for MIVEC map is where it should be.
Car runs great, but the code wont go away.
I will appreciate all the help I can get.
Thanks a lot guys
Sergio

You can get someone who has access to laptop, tactrix cable and ecuflash or evoscan (forget) and permanently or temporarily turn off that code. So it wont pop up anymore. Or go to your tuner, he can do it for you.
Here is some oem diagnostic info.
Judgement criteria- phase angle of intake camshaft is 5 degrees or more for 5 seconds.
Troubleshooting hints ( the most likely cause for this code to be set are)
~ oil feeder control valve failed
~ oil passage of variable valve timing control system clogged
~ variable valve timing sprocket operation mechanism stuck
~ ECM failed
Check the first 3 probable failure points, if those all are ok swap ecu and clear codes.
Good luck!
