Well I think i found heaven, I'm currently on vacation and I just finished driving the nurburgring and i have seen the light, so many nice cars are dd's here is insane. If kansas had a race track close to me i wouldn't mind ddying my evo cause i would spend every free moment I had tracking it and then driving it home.

 

Insurance scam?

 

I bought my evo with the intention of it being my beater and DD but it's too easy to modify and too much fun to drive so that's gone out the window and I will shortly have two cars that are not very practile.

 

I've always had beaters so that I'm not rushed when modding the good car. But...I buy cars I like for beaters and end up modding them. As an example, I bought an 95 Civic for a beater and promptly lowered it, full bushing kit, tie bars, sway bars, brakes, boosted, etc... I now have a turbo'd snow plow...

 

I have a 95 civic eg that i don't even change the oil on, i speed up when i see speed bumps and the engine sounds like its going to blow up now ..oh and theres a CEL...but i don't give a ****...

my evo is only driven once a month or so + track days

 

So I dont have an Evo, but my Lancer has to share its time with my Fiddy

My beater is actually faster than the Evo, GSXR 600, it runs 10s stock

 

My Lancer is the slowest thing I've ever owned lol.

 

I DD my 04 Evo 8 RS with the 3" TBE and all the road noise and I don't mind it. Although I will be in the market for a cheap Honda for better mpg and to keep the miles low on the Evo. Just hit 35k.

 

I have a 2011 legacy for a new daily, had a 96 avalon for a few years but decided to upgrade. Was gonna get a 11' wrx, but it sold the morning I went to buy it..so I stuck with the base legacy so I dont mod it..but HEY, it's got paddle shifters vroom vroom!

I DD my evo IX right now, but just bought a 95 hatch for a beater, putting in a b18 and hoping to get 35+mpg with it and still have enough power to run low 14's lol

 

I think i might just get a harley as my beater/dd that way my evo will still be my only 4 wheel option.
