Evos and beater cars?
So how many of us have a beater car that we got with the intention of it being a dd so we could use our Evo's less either because it uses too much gas, or its too loud etc... regardless of the reason and somehow ended modding or taking care of such said beater?
I had a honda crx which i ended up selling because i tried to fix it instead of treating it like the beater it was.

I tried this a few years ago to keep the miles off my WRX. On the way HOME from buying the beater, my WRX blew a radiator hose out of nowhere. It's like she knew and got jealous. Sold the beater immediately, still DD the WRX, and have zero regrets or problems.

I bought my Grandpa's car so it's been pretty well maintained. After all, wtf else do old people have to do? It's an 88 Camry and I just bought a new windshield for it, alternator, battery, plugs, wires, and will be doing a new CV axle in the future. Regular stuff really, since it's just shy of 200k.
The sad thing is I can't stop driving the Evo. I wake up in the morning and immediately try to get into the Evo and I have to force myself to take the Camry. I only win that battle 3 -4 days of the week.

I have a 96 Civic I drive during the week and on long trips. Ironically though I take the evo out when it snows because the Civic would get stuck on all the hills. So when it snows, the evo is my beater.

Its a funny dilemma cause on the one hand i got evo because i love the fact that its a drivers car but the faster it gets the more focused it becomes long drives on the highway sucks (no cruise control) but it makes me smile every time i drive it.
