ETS 4" Downpipe Back Exhaust System

Anybody install this or have clips of how it sounds? I'm looking at 3.5" or 4" dp/cat-back system.

Check youtube..I know there are a couple videos of ETS exhausts.

Any reason for a 3.5"-4" over a standard 3"?

Until you start looking to go over 700whp you don't need a 3.5in exhaust, let alone 4in. To answer your question, it's loud and has a slight drone.

That's a 3.5 inch exhaust pictured. There is no need for a 4 inch exhaust or 3.5. Overkill. Theres plenty of 7-800 hp Evos with a 3' exhaust without any issues

3"

anything bigger is unnecessary for 99.8% of evo owners

Just more of preference, sound and for future power upgrades. I had a 4" on my old supra...so figured I'd just roll with a 3.5" or 4" on the evo. Down the road, I will add fuel, turbo, built motor and don't want to be wandering later if I should change it out. I figure do it right the first time. That's just me though.

Just curious, but have you ever done (or anyone for that matter) a dyno with a 3" vs a 4" catback or TBE on the same car? Any gains there?

I understand you wanting to do it right the first time around. But seriously, you don't need anything bigger than 3" for exhaust on a normal 4g63. The supra motor is a bigger inline 6 that needs the flow of a bigger exhaust, especially when you start running them with the big single turbo setups. People have made PLENTY of power with just the 3inch exhaust on EVO's. You will also lose some low-end torque by going with a larger exhaust since you will be losing back-pressure. It will also be ridiculously noisy. Get yourself a nice 3" turbo-back exhaust and call it a day, you will be happy you did.

I thought back pressure was only need for na cars, and tubroed cars you want the least amount of back pressure possible after the turbocharger. But 99% don't need larger than 3in
