Any 9sec or 10sec sleepers?

I have been thinking about turning my car into a sleeper lately since i'm getting a built motor now. I'm also selling all my JDM shiZz to buy it. Living in Cali makes me really want to go sleeper since i got a state REF ticket just for a stock UICP and HKS carbon intake box. lol When i say sleeper i mean stock exterior. I'm still trying to run 10's though.

The only cars i can think of are The Bad Bish and a couple AWD Motorsports cars. But even they all have loud exhausts and engine bays that are a little too "blingy" for Cali cops to pop me for.

So are there any straight up sleepers out there? Thanks for future posts.

cali's too strict, if a cops gonna pop your hood, you'll get a ticket for anything he wants.. If he snaps a picture of your engine bay then your effed. switching it to back to stop wont do any good for the judge. on the second count they'll impound your car.

alot of ppl get the car registered out of state under someone elses name they can trust like a family member.

David Buschur's bother Dan had a true sleeper EVO; maybe he still has it, I'm not sure. It even had two mufflers so it sounded mild.

It can be done and has been done, it's just that those kind of people are not the ones posting look-at-my-car build threads, and they certainly are not posting in show-and-shine.

I am planning to do a all Buschur street sleeper. Paint the Magnaflow Exhaust black and i was thinking of doing the same with the Buschur FMIC, but i don't know if it will hurt it's performance.

Man I could never live there.

Have all the car people tried getting together to get stupid laws out there overthrown?

Heck, if even a third of the car people out there got together I am sure something could be done. Organize something and by all means start voting the fool in office out.

That is crazy stuff getting a ticket of what is under your hood. You law makers and police would crap themselves if they seen the cars on the road here in Missouri or even Illinois for that matter.

You have to get a certain paint for it to work. Just getting some off the self flat black will not work well.

I thought I saw someone offering black FMICs on here before or someone posted a link.

You might also call the places that put their logos on the FMIC and ask what sort of paint they use.

I would use BBQ heat paint. I already did it on one of my Testpipes.
