i wish people would realize these things come unpainted and unprepped. by the time you have a body shop prep and paint it your gonna be spending close to what a real JDM bumper is gonna run you.

agreed, plus most of the time the paint wont exactly match. i'd just fork over or save up an extra $400 for the real thing.

If you know someone paint it is all of $100 if that. Still saving 300 or so, and i wish people would hop off the (jdm) bandwagon. It started as a ricer thing with civics, and now has moved to all levels.

What? JDM just means Japanese Domestic Market...they are parts that aren't available in the U.S., it's not some super performance upgrade that people think they're getting. Most people get them because they look better, not so they can roll JDM badges or be like 'hey my car so jdm tight yo'

I would rather just save up and get the real thing, I've heard horror stories of aftermarket body parts. At least with the JDM one you know it comes with OEM paint matching and OEM fitment.

It's not just the paint; there's fit and finish to consider, as well. I don't know if most folks give a flying fruck about JDM'ness here, but they sure do care about using factory body parts. To many, the $300 isn't enough to warrant turning a wold class automobile into a rolling Ebay ad. YMMV
