looking for a car help

I'm new to this site. I am looking to buy and evolution i dont know alot about them. So i was wondering which one would be the best to buy im looking into the 2006 IX but i dont think i wanna drop 25-30000 on a used car and thats the only ones i can seem to find. leave some suggestions. and ill look into them thanks

it all depends on your price range, you can find evo 8s for 15 all day. now if this is going to be your first turbo car just remember tuning is your best friend. and do it often.

i have about 13 in the bank and can get a loan for up to 20. my roommate just got an an 05 sti and i said id get a lancer the day he got his sti. all i know is i want a 5-speed haha i find alot of 2009 2010 gts for cheap as hell whys that?

Im sure you know, but all lancers are fwd. Just wanted to clarify because the previous post was a bit unspecific.

i know all evos are awd but i still dont know what one to get what year would be best for an evo 8

Definitely an 05 Evo 8 due to it having an ACD (Active Center Diff) same as Evo 9 and a 10.5cm exhaust turbo housing. Doesn't really matter which model, I wouldn't get an RS though.

is there anything bad about 03 evo 8 like anything i should check extremely well or the 05 for that case

Good luck with your search. If you only have 20k max,and that's with a loan, try to get a newer RA if anything. The maintainence and upgrades(you know you will) will hurt your bank account unless you can do the work.

My buddy at work wanted an evo but finally decided to go newer RA, still had warranty is AWD and turbo.
