Back of intake manifold boost leak.

I was doing a boost leak test and right around 25 psi I get a leak coming out of this thing (center hole) from the back of the intake manifold. What is it? Is there a replacement/fix someone can guide me too?

its part of the throttle body and the orings go bad on these things all the time mine did. you can replace the oring, or if you want the evo IXs dont even have that port so its obv not gonna leak

Edit: i really hope you didnt take the intake manifold off just to show us that lol

I wouldn't say it's funny, but I just took pics of mine when I did a boost leak test tonight and was about to post it on here. Thanks for posting, because your pic is way better than mine!

I found the part at works or MAPerformance.

Looks like we're in the same boat!

I just pulled mine out, o ring looks fine, but I will replace.
Does anyone know where the half moon pieces go on the shaft, mine kind of fell apart when I took it out.

I found intake manifold pic on the net, this part is pretty easy to get to.

I couldn't find any diagrams in the service manual so I ended up putting the half moon pieces together in the middle of the shaft.

I threw some liquid gasket on mine rather than replacing the o-ring and my boost leak has been gone ever since!
