Stop the whining, complaining, and comparing!

I just read my new SCC issue last night and the editors named the Evo the 2004 car of the year. Whining? The car blasts into the 13s, pulls 94g on the skid, stops 60-0 in 106 feet, and runs the cones at 73 mph. All stock. Complaining? You get $60,000+ performance in a $30,000 car. Comparing? The STi beats the Evo in acceleration (buy an intake and exhaust and you'll be at par with acceleration), but in everything else it falls behind the Evo's refined performance. The Evo is the best car out there right now. Until the next SCC car of the year award (I'm sure the Evo will win it again), I don't wanna see another "...my Evo's interior sucks..." or anything similar thread. If you don't like how the car is, you shouldn't have bought it in the first place. Goes to show how you people are at purchasing a vehicle. Go buy a Volvo or something. People that complain about the small things that don't really have any direct involvement in performance or the true spirit of the Evo don't deserve to be driving an Evo. If you don't have the love, don't drive it. You're only abusing the word and disrespecting the car.

Insert decimal point. 94g's is your body and your car would be crushed. Hell, you may even tear a rift in time and space.

Anyway, the complaining's been going on since well before the car was released. Threads like this have been posted on numerous occasions, all with the same results. What can ya do cept not take part yourself?

What good is a forum if you can't discuss some problems associated with a car. Yes I do believe that there are alot of people complaining about stupid things like road noise and rattling interior. But it helps to know that some aspects aren't perfect like the clutch that can give potential owners a heads up or those that already own one

Dude, I've made so many posts like this, I can't count. People will never be happy with things... Just accept it and know you are driving a serious machine.

Just 'cause people ***** and moan about stuff doesn't mean it's not the best car out there for the money, or even twice the money. It's just the nature of an enthusiast's board.

Just my opinion.

just because the test car and a few others were free of problems doesnt mean all Evos share your same good fortune. i've had a few legitimate issues (torn door panels, 5th gear synchro) that were eventually repaired under warranty.
this is a board where can people sound off, brag and vent. it would be boring just to see "my evos kicks ***" thread all over wouldn't it ?

you're a good man high rev, im sick of the stupid complaints too. if you don't like what you got, then its your fault that you bought it, so keep your stupid whining and complaining to yourself because nobody cares that you think the evo needs freakin cruise control...

I have that same mag. When I read that article I became quite confused. Last week I was watching 2NR TV and they had a segment on that episode reporting that SCC named the SRT-4 car of the year.
So, what's the deal?
