Front Left Noises, SES Flashing
Hey whats up guys. So i bought my evo back in December from Northern Oregon from a dealership. I never met the owner before me which kinda sucked. So anyways after running palomar mtn for my second weekend i started noticing a noise coming from the front left of the evo when i turn to the right. Its not necassarily a whine but i can hear it as if its rubbing/and or slightly grinding again something. Ive already checked everything out around the area and below the evo but i cant find any possible problems. It seems to be getting worse so please LMK anyones got any clue on what to fix/check.
Second thing, i read a little about e85 and how you can run two maps. I believe thats what it was. So since i assume that the person that had the car before me had done Tephra mods, or his own tuning i wanted to see if my SES light would flash at me. (As if i were switching maps like everyone says you can do to trun E85 and 91/93) So yes, it flashed i held down the gas again to stop the flashing and it did. Repeated it again just incase it actually switch maps for something else. Any idea how i could figure what i did or what its supposed to be for?

I thought so too. I checked it on the ground and it made a slight knock noise. So i figured to really figure out if it was the wheel bearing ide know for sure after it was in the air. But once it was in the air it didnt move at all.

its more of a constant noise. Another reason why i steered away from it being the wheel bearing was because its only when i turn to the right. Why would a wheel bearing only make noise/vibrate when i turn to the right?

As load shifts on the suspension, the wheel bearing can see more or less load. Wheel bearings commonly make more noise when turning a certain way, but normally make some noise constantly. You can sometimes put the car in the air and spin the wheel by hand and hear the noise. It normally sounds like a rhythmic light grinding noise.

More pressure on the left wheel bearing when turning right makes a lot of sense. I don't know why i didn't think about that. I guess i was just thinking to hard.

I thought I had a bad wheel bearing on the front too. But, when I rotated tires the noise moved to the back. So, before you spend money, try a tire rotation.

hmmm i just rotated them to the front. i really dont know how a tire rotation would help at all. And the problems increasing. Maybe just one of those random unknown things?

I don't know what you are running but aggressive tires can be noisy. Moving them from one axle to another can set this off. Did you have the noise before the rotation?
