Evo seats and lights...

I was reading up on the Evo and some complaints I see other than a bigger tank for fuel, regard the seats ...

I heard that the back seats are "OK" to sit on but like arent very comfortable with long trips....I'm guessing that goes along with the front seats. Are they like stiff or something? I know that they are racer seats * at least I think so LoL * There's also tlak about the ride not being so great but are the seats adding to that or what? Clarify that someone

And on the lights... I think there's built in fog lights ...but how would that work? Would it like interfere with the regular headlights or something? =P And does anyone have foglights installed on their Evos *below the headlights... an opening ...that looks perfect for those* Pixs greatly appreciated ...Thanx ^_^

i was around 3 evos lastngiht .... the lights are bright and nice.....i was standing infront of an evo and they turned on the lights when we were ganna leave and it hurt my eyes

i also went for a drive in an evo lastngiht and the back seats have plenty of leg room ( my bro has a 02 wrx and its not even close to the evos room )

i didn't find the seats to be uncomfortable at all , maybe if i was a 60 year old lady with a big *** i would but us young guys can eaeisly handle it , i liked the seats . the front seats hug you and i find those to be very comfy too .

Well, you're bound to get countless responses to your queries but here's my opinion....

The front seats are worlds apart from the back seats. Aside from the material used, the front seats are supportive and comfortable. I've not taken the car on a super-extended trip but 2 hours was no problem at all. Also once you go to the track, you will realize just how good the front seats are. I've yet to ride in any car whose stock seats come anywhere close to those in the Evo.

Regarding the ride, it's definitely stiff, mostly because the chassis and the suspension transmit practically everything about the road right to your butt. I felt nauseated after my first ride in the Evo but have quickly gotten to really enjoy it. That being said, be aware of what you're getting into, it's definitely different from the typical automobile.

Finally, the Evo has 3 sets of lights integrated into the head light assembly, low beams, high beams, and fog lights. The fog lights are closest to the middle and are aimed down at the road. The fog lights aren't super useful but they do help light up the road immediately in front of your car. To me, it would seem redundant to get fog lights that are mounted on the bumper.

The front seats are really supportive, not too much padding, but they're good for at least a couple of hours. The back seats have no problems with comfort but they're obviously not going to hug you on a corner or anything.

I can confirm that and agree completely. We did 6 days and 3,200 miles in our Evo at the end of September, about 90% of it on 2-lane roads, x-country. The seats were NO problem at all. In fact, the support is superb for long trips, even tho' they feel very firm at first.

And just for your info, I'm 50 years old!....Anybody that says the Evo suspension is too stiff or the seats are too firm for x-country work is a pansy, pure and simple....or they haven't done a x-country yet and don't know any better!

Very true. Whoever rides shotgun gets the royal treatment. I don't ride in the back , but they do have tons of leg room. The seats are rather flat, meaning it's not really angled to push your body back, so I found that weird.

The front seats are the best seats I've ever sat in. It was one of the first things that peaked my interest when I checked an Evo out at the dealer. They wrap around your lats so well and just grab you. Everyone who has sat in my front seats have said so, and it's convinced a couple of my friends to save up for some aftermarket seats.

I like my evo seats more than my s2000 ones, i just swapped all my headlight bulbs, i did 5800K for the HID low beams, then i did a 9005 6000K conversion for the high beams, then i did a blue bulb with a Catz Zeta system for my fogs and i like it alot, everyone says i have the bluest front end they have ever seen...
