Love those guys at FP! One other really strong point everyone should pay attention to is always go with the oil supply line kit. This is really a must for any turbo really, FP or not. If we are talking about getting the most life out of your turbo - this is it! No chance of starving the turbo of oil.
Plus you are looking at fresh oil right after the filter (instead of possible dirty oil from the crankcase) and then a second filter to ensure nothing else gets in.

Can't stress that one enough -

All great info - maybe one of those sticky type threads?

I sure am buddy, I run Brad Penn 20w50. I am thinking about switching to AMSOil Z-rod https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-oil-line.html

I'll think about the Sticky...

The main thing is the right oil, Kiggly HLA, and BR oil pan mod or AMS oil pan and you will NEVER have a problem!

Edit: Made sticky for now.

Very informative thread. My Fp Red lasted a few years and about 60k mi of hard abuse. I never ran it below 30 psi and it even ate an exhaust gasket, a year before giving up the ghost. I had been running it with the first gen oil feed line with no particular oils. That turbo was a champ.

Just got an Evo 8 with the FP Red peaking 30lbs and dropping to about 26lbs by redline. Is this too much for this turbo?
