I sent in an Evo 9 turbo to get converted to a black. I never got a warranty card nor did I get a plaque on the turbo. I called and they said they would sent me one. Never got one. 1yr is over now so I guess it doesn't matter.

That is a bold statement indeed Mikey and one I have to disagree with! It totally depends on the application - Fitting a Kiggly HLA and BR/AMS sump will not make you invincible! How many Time Attack cars do you know that use just a Kiggly HLA and BR/AMS sump?

I happen to sit on the same side of the fence as Si Norris. This quote was lifted from his advert for the Norris Designs dry sump kit.

These are totally ESSENTIAL on anything running good tyres and has 1G or more through right hand bends. The way to justify this to yourself is..........."Do you want to buy the dry sump kit now while your engine is healthy, or have to pay for a new engine and a dry sump kit later?" It really is that simple, there is NO WAY of solving the evo 4-9 right hand oil surge issue without a dry sump. We have tried every option from the simple to ridiculous, nothing else works!

I normally use the car brakes to slow down. Didn't know turbos can brake a car now?? Oh maybe you meant break? Well as long as you follow Fp oil recommendations they are ok. The new bb version will probably last a very long time though.

What nope? For the most part they are good reliable turbos. I haven't had any problems. I follow fps recommendations. I don't run more boost than it was designed for. All is good. When people don't follow the recommendations problems arise earlier. You can't say oh you have an Fp turbo and its going to fail. Most all turbos eventually fail. Yes some sooner than others. Just a matter of how you treat it. Just ask sharkbite how many turbos he went through.
