Man these threads give me comfort in having 107k. Time to poke and stroke that baby!
P.S. is there anyways you can tell us more info and help some of us make it to 200k plus? How often do you get on the throttle each day? Town/highway? Track? Launches? Any extra maintenance? Thanks for sharing.

another key factor here is taking it easy, you know dont race every jerk who pushes your buttons, no unneccesary high throttle launches save those for track day, I personaly have only gone to the track very few times and when in town its all about being gentle with her and keeping off the boost as much as possible. Use it only when needed
So what is the consencus on the Evo's high mileage reliability? I'm a bit of an Evo Noob (see my screename, ha ha), but am interested in this topic, because I am in the process of selling one of my Mustangs to buy and Evo IX...which I plan on keeping for a long time.
From what I gather, when treated as a daily driver, with a few tasteful modifications, and if you don't beat on the car all the time, it seems the IX will last for many many miles, and be reliable for years, with normal maintentance expected of course.
Does this sound about right?

but yea smart choice specialy up north were traction is essential during winter.
Anyone care to tell me how 2.2 and 2.3 do as far as gas mileage goes?
Iam at 25-27MPG highway now and would like to keep it that way
I was thinkin about leaving it @.0 and rev to infinity lol

Wow, that is alot of driving! Congrats on 200 k miles, these cars can last a long time when properly maintained. With the amount of driving you do, I think your best bet is to get a factory shortblock instead of going for an aftermarket rebuild, it will likely end up lasting longer.
Sounds about right, which of your stangs are ya sellin, post pics if possible fan of the mustangs aswell.

Hey fellas, I felt the need to bump this thread bc of a minor issue iam having with the acd lights, Ive already searched the forum and spoke to a friend who is more tech savy than myself and suggested that it was due to low fluid.
I had just picked up the ride from the shop, oe clutch installed, although I didnt see it for myself they said fluids were replaced, maybe they did but didnt put enough, going in tomorrow to settle this.
When ignited the car's tarmac mode is engaged, after a few seconds of driving all 3 lights come on, I checked the acd resevoir and it was lower than minimun.
But then again acd fluid goes up and down like that right?
Checked the fuses to, those were good.

Well as it turns out, I toped off the acd fluid and now its back to normal no bleed needed. I drove around town and the lights stayed off. pheeww...
Hey 4Retech where could I find some pics of your ride?
I wonder if iam the second or third highest mileage evo around here..
