Tough Decision: Trade Evo VIII for R32 GTR
Don't worry everyone, I am not going to trade. For one I love my Evo, it smells so new and everything is solid and tight. Two, I drove the R32 and it felt really rough and three, take another look at the pictures below.
Also they guy is now now selling it for $49,000 after he researched how rare they really are.
Side note: It is registered and insured as a 240SX. And proving the point that you can register anything in FL, when I registered my Evo the DMV didn't even come out to my car to check the VIN, they took my word for it. For all they know I could have registered a cardboard box with wheels.
The R32 is AWD, but the Super HICAS has been disabled for drag racing.
Reflecting back to when I started this thread, it was the JDM fanboi inside me that made me even consider the trade but the more I thought about it and the more research I did the less appealing it became.

They still are. Glad the op didn't get this turd of a car. The guy is on crack if he thinks he is going to get $49 k for a improperly registered car that was crashed. Most states would not allow the car to be driven on the street let alone get registered.
thats probably why the R32 owner was so QUICK to trade with you, he knew it could be seized, yea and its been wrecked and its ILLEGALLY registered, not worth the headache, and yea its a R32, but its still a 91, **** is old, EVO all the way
I'd keep the Evo. I've had experiences and friends with R32-R35 (GT-R) and the only thing I would sell the Evo for would be a R35 GT-R. Seriously.
Once you delve into them and work with them on a regular basis, they are still just cars. This mystic aura and urban legend around them is ridiculous. Stick with what you have.
