need help big time...alignment problem.

Well, this is my second alignment within 3 months and my car's still pulling to the right. As some of you already know the deal with my situation, had an accident and supposedly everything got fixed but my car still drives like crap. I've spent 200 dollars already on alignments. This is becoming a living nightmare and can't stand driving my car like this. oh yeah and my steering wheel is slightly off to the right almost at the 1 o'clock postion. btw I have z1 star specs if that make any difference.

here's both of the alignments

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ttom-help.html

2nd one

front left front right
camber -.9 camber -1.0
toe -0.39 toe 0.44
steer ahead -0.42
rear left -1.30 rear right -1.02
toe +.29 toe +.22

I don't know what to do...I'm close to wits end here.

hows tire wear and what about the frame.....any damage? did the frame have to be pulled? i guess is if it did have frame damage and it was pulled could be the frame, even thou the body shop says its straight after a while of driving it does tweak back somewhat.

Alignment looks dead on,, Can you scan the Align sheet??? Because to see if something is bent you need to look at steering angle inclination, which is in reference to the strut and the front wheel type of thing...

Also what is the caster reading?? Caster will make a car pull, and what is the center line reading??

Before you get all crazy, go out right now and swap front tires left to right, if they are directional do front to back, One of two things can happen. If you do Left to right and the pull changes then its in the tires. If you go front to back and pull goes away or changes direction, then its the tires.

Go d it quick and let me know what happens, if this don't help I need to see the full alignment printout.

I did look at the graph in the link, I need more details, like I mentioned above.

You alignment looks fine. Is this happening on perfectly flat roads? Roads with a crown (higher in the middle, lower on sides) will cause the car to pull. Caster will cause the car to pull also. Check tires, maybe try rotating them. There's a lot of things the could be going on here. I'm going to assume that no suspension parts are bent or damaged, because of the fact that your alignment is pretty much perfect.

EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to it on like 1/2 of my points : /

Do both. However since the steering wheels off center, which tire rotation will not fix, is unacceptable after paying for an alignment

I would say worst case pick up a Firestone lifetime alignment and then you can bring it back and badger them as many times as you want until its right...

Both sides. Do a complete tire rotation front to back. Do you have the printout?? so see caster and other readings?

alright guys, got another alignment done on a hawkeye hunter rig, here's the specs
and yeah the pull's still there but ever so slightly.

front
camber left -.71 right front -1.11

caster 3.57 3.82

toe 0.00 0.02

steer ahead -0.01 degrees

rear left rear right
camber -0.85 -0.83
toe 0.18 0.15
thrust angle 0.02 degrees

I also rotated the tires....the pull ain't as bad as before. so I'm thinking it's my z1 star spec's that are giving me a headache. wish I had money to get a new set of tires to see if that truly is the problem. just wanna say thanks to all of those who've responded. do you guys really think it's the tires or was the guy feeding me a bunch of voodoo.

I'm still trying to digest the idea that you paid someone for this alignment:

front left front right
camber -.9 camber -1.0
toe -0.39 toe 0.44
steer ahead -0.42
rear left -1.30 rear right -1.02
toe +.29 toe +.22

Is the pull to the left or right now? The mismatching camber in front (with your latest alignment) should cause some push to the left (i.e., away from the side with more camber), but at least they have the steering wheel straight this time. Also, did you ask for the rear toe? I would have asked for zero all around.

Where were you hit? And are you sure that you dont have a bent knuckle or anything. Have you have the tire road balanced? My car has been pulling to the right and the alignment is right on. I havent had the chance to check but I have to do that.

how would I know if I have a bent knuckle, alignment seems to be within spec or atleast that's what the guy said that did my alignment. should I be looking for/at something in particular? the rear got hit and my rear driver's side got barley hit, replaced the cv joint and abs senser and a wheel bearing and the head still continues. I'm hoping it's just my z1 star specs that are pulling like that.

Let's work through the above step by step, OK? More camber on the front right: pushes nose to left. [skip caster] More toe-in on front right: pushed nose to left. [skip rear camber, since equal] More toe-in on left rear: pushes rear to right. In other, all three of the non-equals in this alignment are set to rotate (yaw, actually) the car counter-clockwise looking down from above. If you are finding that you have to steer a bit to the right to go straight, it isn't your tires; it's another bad alignment.

Of course, it isn't as bad as your last alignment. They are making progress. They should have you going straight by Halloween.

This alignment is deff crappy or the machine is off. Seems like a half *** job.

Like mentioned above this car should pull left. I wish u lived in NY, I would of aligned it for you....Its very hard to get a good alignment. Most shops never service them and they are never level. You need to look around and see maybe you find a shop that does road racing or track cars to help you...

I think your previous readings were matched better then this...
