Ok so I am looking to pick up an Evo. I don't mind if it is modded or not as long as it isn't totally crazy. So I emailed this guy and basically got "Well F you" for asking what I belive to be totally reasonable questions.

Here is my email:

Hey I was wondering if you still have the car. I had a few ??s. I am currently deployed in Afghanistan so I can't come and look at the car so I need the clearest picture possible.

What are the mods done to the car.
Any electrical problems?
Any mechanical problems? (big or minor)
Do you have any more pictures?
Clean title?

Hes prob thinking why waste yours and his time while youre overseas. Its better than him telling you the car is mint and you end up traveling from ohio to new york to find out that the car is crap.

 

main problem with sending emails off of craigslist is that there is alot of spam that sounds the same way. I got 3-4 emails a week of spam.

Basically they say they are out of state and want better pictures and then the next email they send back says that they will pay you through paypal and some random person will come pick it up.

But if you ask me that was kind of a dick move on his part. Cant help a guy out that is deployed.

Yeah I see ur point, that is the first time that has happened to me. Just seemed a little dick-ish to me. I sold my car to a kid that was on a deployment but then again being a soldier talking to another soldier is a bit different.

 

Haha this just got fun, granted I started it in away but now I feel like being a dick.

I called him an ******* and he sent this:

Go practice safe sex. And stop window shopping. I'm an *******, but your mad cause you can't afford an evo. So you pull this I'm deployed bull****. Then I bet you got a certified check to offer. Come on man. Stop being a looser jerking peoples time. If your serious come look at the car and stop wasting peoples time I hope your not fighting a war the way you shop for a car. Cause if you do, great I feel so much safer as a citizen knowing we got soldiers that call random people *******s. Then you wonder why we got all these ****ing nuts doing stupid **** to our country.
When really it's because of *******s like you who can't be spoken to like a man. So thanx for wasting my time ******* deployed in who gives a ****.

So I responded:

No don't have a certified check, just cash in hand. So you think I would email you because I can't afford a car? Ok, I would love to know how you figure me calling you and ******* because of a dick response has A: anything thing to do with my war fighting capabilities. B: random issues going on in our country so on and so fourth. SO maybe food for though, you couldhave taken thetime to NOT be an ******* and responed like a human being. If your basic "f-you" email is your standard response then I feel sorry for you and hope you are notplanning on making a careerin sales. Ranting and raving about my being deployedto who givesa ****. There are quite a few that do. Apparently you are a one of the many people who will open their mouth about this war and has a strong opinion about it having never walked a mile in a soldiers shoes. So here's a thought why don't you sign up and come do your part so I don't have tocome back here for a 5th time to pick up your slack OR sit on the sidelines (like you are now) and ***** while the men go fight.

Not worth wasting your time on brother. People don't realize that even at the most remote outstations "most" soldiers still have the ability to communicate with the outside world and plan for their life outside the combat zone. This turd has something to hide about his car and it's better you don't get to find out what he is "selling". Get home safe brother! I've done two pumps there.

 

hahaha f*** that guy serious doucher, besides, you can find a better deal than that, just wait a little bit and check out the for sale column on here, I think I saw an 05 mr with 40k that needs a tranny rebuild going for like 15000, good deal in my opinion, assuming theres nothing else wrong with it. Eh, I would just walk away with some dignity. Also I don't think I'd ever buy an NY car, my friend was telling me that a buddy of his lost his exhaust on the streets of NY. I've always known NYC streets to be rather punishing on cars.
