6 day old DW300...car dies....then no start
yes I'm back with news on my dw300
I was wrong about drilling out the orifice in the white plastic T which helps pull fuel from the passenger side of the tank. My dw300 was hard wired using the factory wiring with a 30amp relay fused to the #30 pin of the relay. I used 10 gauge wire. Stock three relays in line. The Evo 8 ran for approximate distance of 40 miles before it started to sputter and hesitate, and then die. Let me back up. I've put a new plastic T fitting back in the tank so I'm thinking what the hell? Got home after filling from half full. It died twice, and was hard to start! Would just go buh at every turn of the key. Then it would start with the same drivablity issues. Got home and pulled the seat and tribes the key, I could hear the pump prime because I'm using the ign for the signal. Still hard to start and when it does it's reading 14.7 15.2....sounds lean to the ear...give it some gas and it's reading lean...16.4 17.6 . This is before it dies as it gets leaner. Then at times it won't start and when it finally does it'll idle fine at 14.5 15.2 . Give it gas and it's not lean anymore? I'm in my other vehicle away from home but I'm going to take the vacuum line off the FPR and try to start it...if I get fuel coming out I'll know it's done. Everything in the fuel system not mention is stock. Also found that my return line from the passenger side has a link in it. I'll get a new one on Monday/ Tuesday. Forgot about the holiday. I appreciate all of you who have given your thoughts on this nightmare that is mine. Lol now what do you think it my be??? Hope Everyone is have a safe weekend.
