I have good news to report. The person who messed up my clutch job has decided to refund me the cost of the repair and provide additional funds for the new clutch.

although the guy messed up the clutch install, seems like a stand up guy. glad it worked out for you. that is a rarity especially on the evo forums. dont take that for granted, you wont be so lucky again.

glad to hear it worked out for you, lesson learned good luck in the future

Wow, good to see they manned up and paid for their mistake. You don't see that happen often.

Next time take it to a shop unless you're doing the work yourself and are absolutely sure you know what you're doing. The smallest mishap can turn into thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Man that's great to hear, I wish everyone would accept their mistakes and fix them. I mean we are only human but still.

I had a clutch installed at a shop little over a month ago and they basically didn't do a proper install. This was at a Evo shop too, couple hr drive for me. Tried to feed me some BS and I wasn't having it. So I just bit the bullet and took it as a lesson learned, not worth court headaches.

But props to this guy, and good luck!

Honestly I love when people wait a year or more and then start this. Im not defending the guy but I see this every day. Everyone likes to wait as long as possible and then make a stink.

Next time notify the tech working on your car about your concern right away because EVEN BIG NAME shops make mistakes.

In one year time you could of had 4 clutches put in by someone else and blame the 1st guy.

If you have mentioned something right away im sure it would have saved you all this trouble and 1 year of not driving.

Good Luck.
