Drove an evo
My GF test drove a bunch of Scoobies today, a manual Forester, automatic RS 2.5, and manual WRX. I think I may have her sold on getting the WRX.
I would love to have two high performance Mitsu's in the family, but the EVO is a little expensive for her tasts. I wish Mitsu had a version of the EVO with lower HP and lower cost (around $24,000) like Subaru does with the standard WRX and the STi.

Well, after test driving a few SUV's and the various Scoobies the GF is sold on the idea of getting the WRX
Now we just have to find a good deal. First dealer we checked with offered her 2,500 less than blue book value on her trade in, and were only offering $1000 discount on a demo modle with 6,000 miles on it.
We will look elsewhare

)Out the door it cost her $28,400... but she was substantialy "upside down" on here trade in car to the tune of $3,000 more owed than the trade in value. This puts us right at 25,400 with tax tag and all that other ****... almost exactly what you paid! A hell of a lot better than paying 30K for that one that had 6,000 miles on it

Any advice on break in for the WRX? What are the good message boards to get info from for this car?
Thanks,
Keith

Congrats on the new family member. I'm in the process of selling my Audi and hope to have an Evo in my home soon.
www.clubwrx.net is a really good forum for wrxs. Break in is probably just the same as an evo, just don't flog it for 1000 miles. Now all she need is an exhaust and a reflash (1600) and then you guys can race. BTW that kicks *** that she got a 5 speed
Oh and let me suggest turboxs for the turboback and cobb for reflashing. That is what I have and it kicks ***. Oh **** that uppipe will have to go too arg (catalytic converter) I used an autospeed (pricey, but nice piece) 260 bucks. That is if you want faster spool and no chance of that cat going into the turbo.
