What spark plugs should I get for Evo IX

I have an evo ix, I have a problem where my car will "die" for a split moment, then come back, and continue normal operation, this typically happens at harder acceleration. I don't think the spark plugs have been changed for the life of the car, or for a while. My reasoning is that I sometimes smell unburnt fuel when i come to a stop, I do not have a cat, but i am also getting about 16 mpg. I have had problems with other cars, changed the spark plugs, and I have an immediate fuel mpg increase, I do not have an owners manual for the car, and am not sure which spark plugs to get, I do have an intake and a 3" turbo back exhaust if that helps in determining which spark plugs I should get to replace my current ones.

Thanks.

Also, it is not the IX MR, it is the GSR? i believe.

It doesn't sound like spark plugs are your issue with it wanting do die. What BOV are you running and it is recirculated or vented?

I believe it is the stock bov... I don't know if it is recirced or vented.. I was just reading a thread that said if the check engine flashes then its a misfire, my check engine light does flash occasionally. The wanting to die, is split second. but it does throw you forward because there is no power, I do not have to release the gas, it dies? split second, then comes back normal, no sputtering or bogging.

Just get oem replacement plugs. Lol not to say anything but how come you don't know if your car is a MR or GSR. MR=6 speeds, hid, vortex generator. GSR= 5 speeds, no hid, no vortex.

Here is where i got mine from.

I have hids, I have a 5 speed transmission and no vortex generator.. so it is the GSR IX.

Get a boost gauge too while you at it. Go to autozone and get the Auto Meter boost gauge it's cheap, let you know how much you boosting.

It isn't very difficult at all. You should be able to find a "How To" on the forum here somewhere, and it will probably take 2hrs or so to install if it's your first time.

Also, with a boost gauge, you'll be able to properly tell how much boost your car is really make, which can help diagnose your problem a little easier. The problem you are describing almost sounds like fuel cut. If you are running too much boost, and are unaware of it, the gauge should help rule that out.
