I keep seeing people point out the ability to get an evo as Luck. I'm sorry but I could have walked out the door with one in the DC area the other night with no problem, and the above message is one of many we are seeing on the site. This hype seems to be starting to smell of dealer created BS. I know i'm breaking this down a bit too far and there are places where getting en Evo is hard, but I'm sure i'm not the only person who's noticed this.

Stohlmans called me yesterday too. Apparently the 2 yellows are up for grabs also. But I turned em down, even though yellow is my preferred color. I turned it down cause I already got an Evo!

My car is currently going through PDI at Sheehy in Manassas and will be picked up tonight.

Rawk on

SC~

Got a silver EVO in SoCal

Hey guys, I bought my EVO last night at Ontario Mitsubishi in SoCal. I didn't get MSRP, but got a pretty good deal. One of the conditions was not to blab about it. Not that I care, but I try to keep my word. All I can say is that as far as I know, the best deal in SoCal right now is about $2500 over MSRP, and I got it significantly less than that. Some of you might want to look at some of my previous post and replies to figure out what I thought was exceptable. All I can say to all you die hard "MSRP only" people is, hang in there. With the US going to war and month end coming up, you guys might be able to get MSRP or almost MSRP in the next couple of week. I didn't want to wait any longer since I was only going to settle for a silver and wasn't sure about the sunroof. They had two silvers, one with a sunroof and one without. I got the one with the sunroof.

Talk to LARRY OJEDA (909) 418-7300

He was my sales guy. He is pretty young, and doesn't know too much about the EVO, but is honest about it. He is a nice guy to chat with too. Best thing to do is go there with your check book and preapproval, if you got it, and then haggle till you are satisfied. If not, just walk away. Give Larry your number and let him know that you will buy the car immediately when you're happy with the price. That's what I did. I went there about 2 times, and he called me about two time after that trying to make a deal. I told him my absolute ceiling and stuck to it. He called me yesterday and told me he'd give me what I want if I came after work, and the rest is history now.

I don't think I'll post any pictures since it doesn't look any different from the rest, but let me know. My fear that the interior would feel cheap seemed unfounded. The car feels amazing and solid. There is definitely noticeable turbo lag till 3500 RPM, but then it just takes off. The turbo sound pretty cool too. The steering is out of this world. What caught me by surprise was the third seatbelt in the back. I for some reason thought it had only two. Another surprise was the switch to float the headlight up and down. I don't know what the purpose of that is.

SCrew the dealer! Youve already got your car, they arent gonna take it away from you! Just tell us what you paid already!! Pretty good, and pretty foreseeable that they dropped down from their 5k over MSRP price originally quoted.

I think you paid about 500 or 1000 over MSRP and yer still a sucker. You let your emotions guide you in buying a car and you paid over sticker.

dr mosh, chill out.

the guy had a budget, he stuck to it and the dealer finally gave in. Who cares if it was 1000 or so over MSRP, this was fine for this guy. Maybe its not fine for your to pay a little over MSRP, maybe you just can't afford to do that. Well this guy could, and he stuck to what he asked for and finally got the car he wanted earlier than most people, while you sit and ***** and moan, yet you still don't have the EVo.

So the point is lighten up..

Enjoy your car dood!
