Depends what you want. The C5 is a better car is you're just looking to go ***** out fast. No matter what anyone says, dollar for dollar the Vette will be a faster car (after the traction issues). Especially if you're comparing an Evo on pump gas, to a Vette on pump.

I've driven C5's and C6's and my biggest problem with the C5 is the horrible "Sunfiresc" interior....although the Evo IX's are not super nice inside per say, IMO they are way nicer then the C5's.

I also like the Evo for the fact that I can pick up my buddies, throw my hockey stuff in the trunk, i got all kinds of room for stuff, and the car still moves like a bat outta hell. These are 2 very different cars, although both labeled as "Sports Car”.

A good amount now compared to when I smashed my first c5. When I did that I had was cams, turbo back exh, evo 9 turbo, boost controller, and vp 100 oct. tune. I smashed my dad in his 05 c6 with those mods too with a more aggressive tune.

Like was stated before. Good luck with what you pick, I love both cars. Enjoyed the driving the C6. I would def. Take c5z and do heads exh., and pro charger. It's just hard as hell to overcome an awd cars launch. More than one C6Z06 has fallen pray to a lightly modded evo on race gas up here.

gotcha.. ftd at our local events is almost always a c5 z06. good luck to you whatever u decide.. be sure to post pics if u get an evo, and this forum is also a great place to find used evos too - can check the seller's posts to see what kind of history the car had too

the vettes are fun to drive though you get on it in 2nd and the *** end kicks out a little but its soo smooth it feels like its supposed to happen.
with a mild cam/ intake/exhaust and a tune. i was hanging with c6 Z06's with exhaust and intake untill 100-120. i personally wouldnt want a c5 though i would save up for a C6 much nicer car.
