just finishing up my built!! manley 2.3l stroker kit 20 over...fb black turbo....now i noticed fp does not reccomend mobil 1 oil, i do not want void warranty if somethin happens so can anybody tell me what type and grade oil is needed for this turbo that will not void the fp warranty

 

Most guys running FP turbos are using AMSOIL if I'm not mistaken.

 

I went with a Buschur 2.3 engine and they recommend using Brad Penn 20w-50. Gotta get a good oil with high zinc levels.

 

Look under EVO VIII/IX Oil Requirements.

I use Brad Penn 20w-50 for road course use on a built motor with great success. I didn't have as much luck with AMSOIL but that was before they had the super zinc content formula they offer now.
