Yep, top of rod and wrist pin...it was sitting on top of the turbo mounting bracket when I popped the hood, figure it is a good souvenir

I think your car is why I'm steering clear of 2.4's

It was making over 600hp, 450tq when it went.

Just as an FYI this was a stock block that I knew I wanted to make big power in. I visited KevinD over 2.5 years ago for my 60k service. That's when he did the drop in pistons/rods and valvetrain. The setup lasted 40k, e85, injecting 2000+cc's of meth also when I was on 93 before the upgrade to e85.

I would consider that a good run at that power level especially with the block having 100k on it.

40k miles with 600 whp with only drop in pistons/rods is pretty damn impressive. I wouldn't be too unhappy about that.
