Then why with speeds of 120+?
How does that work/make sense?

I think we are giving him too much benefit of the doubt as it sounds like he's talking about the streets, but it is true he never mentioned where. Intake, turbo back exhaust, licp, boost controller, and a good tune.

Did this suddenly turn into an Automotive Propriety board for guys with less than 70 posts, or is this a forum dedicated to a machine with one of highest performance envelopes ever developed by mankind? Someone please let me know.

But, when I tried to floor it, I could definitely sense a power loss. I went up to 23psi with no trouble, but it didn't seem to run to its full potential as before. ...

Are you guys sure it will just take a few mods like that? the evo is a brick and gearing is not exactly on our side..

When I only had basic mods (dp back exhaust, boost controller, intake and tune) I had no problems running m3's. Oh and this definitely wasn't done on the street . The evo takes to mods extremely well.

From experience. Made 324AWHP on chads mustang dyno with basic bolt ons.

I can walk an e46 m3 with bolt on's up till about 120. After that gearing, windresistance, etc kills me.

Also, depends on the track and th skill of the driver. Certain tracks such as beaver run, it is hard to hit 120 coming out of the last corner to turn 1.

I can just barely start to pass him till i need to go hard on the brakes.

<grin> You mean to say that the page of posts extrapolating a street racing theme from the OP is not off topic, but the one post I make quoting the same is? Thanks for taking the time to point it out. If you must know, I didn't go through his threads; I looked at them. The only one I opened stood out like a sore thumb, as it wasn't an ad. Then comes the part where one is a member of a community with some recollection of others, like knowing that at this point in time I'm talking to a teenager.

Personally, I don't think an Evo can take a leggy car like the M3 over 120mph with just basic bolt-ons. At least that's my perception.
