Angry Steering wheel vibration

Wuzup,
Anybody have the same steering wheel vibration I have. Whenever I'm about 40-50mph and hit the brakes, the steering wheel starts to vibrate. I already had the rotors replaced because I was told it is the warping of the rotors but now its happening again.
Any suggestions of what it might be????

gracing... there are two reasons...

1. stock tires are low profiles and tend to 'go' with the ridges of the road instead of gliding over it.... and there may be lots of rough ridges
2. your tires are developing irregular tire wear, from hard driving.
3. your wheels may need rebalancing...

it is most likely number 2 because i came from 350z to evo and the current Z has a notorious tire feathering issue..basically irregular tire wear.... although there is some noise, the tire irregularity comes alive when braking because the front tires are under heavy load...

if your rear tires have irregularities too... hard accelerating may not show it because there is already engine and tranny noise to cover up

EDIT: I guess I should have asked if it only happens when you hit the brakes? If it only happens when you step on the brakes, see my below comments.

It seems like this problem comes up every month or so.

If I were you, I'd plan on getting different rotors and pads. The Brembo rotors/pads in my case and many others, have turned out to be ***. I've had my brake pads replaced twice already. I just rolled over 15,000 miles and I need a 3rd brake job due to the same recurring problem.

get the dealer to resurface the rotors and deglaze the pads and see if that helps

I've heard that overtightening the lug nuts can make a disc start to warp. Anybody been working on yours with an impact gun? They're supposed to use a torque stick - kind of like a springy extension on the gun to limit how tight they get.

I had the same problem too when my car was about 4,500 miles. But since I rotated the tires at 5000 miles, the car seems fine now, no more steering wheel vibrate. I think it is because the tires wear out.

I had the same problems from the dealer for about 3k miles. I got fed up and had them replace my rotors. Never had a problem since. Maybe something was wrong with a group of evos and the rotors, I have no idea.
