We are 800-900 depending variables. Meaning if you can do your own oil change its less, if you dont need a serpentine its less, etc.

You should probably buy all the parts yourself then install what you can if you don't wanna put a whole in your pocket then take the rest to the shop because a lot of shops over price parts & labor

Wow, those parts are priced way over what you can get them for.

I got about those estimates from GST and FFTEC. I spend a lot of time LA so I went to Massimo Power instead. $630 OTD for all belts, fluids, and water pump, labor and parts.
I've put 5k on so far since then, still running great.

Also, you shouldn't need spark plugs until 100k miles. Water pump at 120k.

Sounds about right. You can save some money by changing the spark plugs and driveline fluids yourself.

I was told the same thing about my water pump. I just had my 60k service done recently and I didn't pay that much. I have to look at the list again on what they have done.

Dear god is the 60k really this expensive? I now see why everone is always talking about "that" service. I know this is the evo 1-9 section, but is the pricing the same with the X?

X has a timing chain no belts. Most timing chain cars are maintenance free. But some chain stretch issues have been posted in the past with the X's so...

This is probably correct but by 60K the coolant should be changed and if you are aready in for the timing belt replacing the waterpump is pretty easy.

As for the plugs I replaced mine at 60K as well and they looked very good. Still had their gap and minimal wear on the cathode. But I did the whole maintenance anyway since I saved money doing it myself.

Question is, what is really what I should change, because some folks said waterpump is necessary and some said it doesn't, some even said spark plugs aren't necessary either, but normally spark plug is necessary for even family cars, so I really need a legit list of what is critical to change. I can't find a list... =(
