Evo 8 boost problem HELP

Ive realized some strange noises when i hit boost at first it was a high pitched noise then i reajusted my intake piping then it turned into a weird leaking sound.Whenever i hit boost or high RPM's my check engine light flickers fast and im thinking it has something to do with this. Anyways it just souds like im loosing boost... you can hear it leaking but i cant find the problem it looks normal?
HELP PLEASE

do a boost leak test...check ur plugs,injectors and fuel pump the check engine light u might wanna contact ur local tuner hell explain it to u.

Fast check engine light means knock. It can be setup on the stock ecu

It can be set up where slow cel flashing means 1 or 2 counts of knock. Flashing fast means a lot of counts of knock. If your car is set up with that I would definitely stop getting into it. For the sounds you're hearing do a leak test.

+1 on the knock CEL, dont want that. As as a high pitched noise, def do a boost leak test, one can be made from parts gotten at a Home Depot or the like. Best 6 bux u can spend. As far as fixing the knock, you need to look into a tune. Whether by you or a pro, its needs to be done, until then stay outta the boost or your risking a pricey BOOM

I already have a tune do i have to get a retune you think?

+2 on boost leak test can be making u run lean in boost and cause cell to come on as lnock

OP have you done anything to your car since it was tuned? As far as changing parts?

Before you do anything else, do the boost leak test! Bring it up for about your max boost level and listen for the noise. Soapy water helps too!

no, nothing else has been done since i got the tune, lat night i started tightening all my intercooler piping to make sure there is no leaks and everything is secure. i didnt finish but ive noticed when i hit high boost and i start to leak boost, my check engine light starts to flicker

Change in temps outside can affect tune also so it may be that your tuner tunes aggressively. Anyhow take the car there and explain the issue.
