Anyone else never happy with their car?
I think I might have narrowed my unhappiness to the same thing. I hate being on stock block and not being able to push my turbo setup lol.
I had a bulletproof block in my 1g. I could throw whatever the hell I wanted at it and it would take it. IM running this hta green on stock block, and I hate being limited to the power and tq I can make cause of it.

I have a stock shortblock and cosworth M2 cams on the stock valvetrain, with stock head studs.
My 514hp E85 tune has a whopping 3 degrees of ignition timing@peak TQ. Curious to see what it makes with a real tune and stronger parts.
I want a built bottom end and head more than anything for next. 7800rpm max and constant worry about pretzled rods is a little annoying.
Edit:
Except for wanting another set of wheels to mount slicks on, I'm completely satisfied with how my car looks on the outside. I would like to somehow clean up the engine bay a little bit, without tucking stuff, just try to re route things. I don't link the factory routing of the throttle cable and I need to either lengthen the harness for my GM IAT or deloom the MAF plug from the factory harness.

If I was gay and wanted to keep attracting dudes the Evo is totally the car. My 60 VW beetle got more comments from girls (and girls in the car) than my Evo could ever dream of. Drive a GTR through Vancouver and watch stuff drop.
GTR can make 510/530 on nothing more than a flash at 19psi over 425/430 stock. It doesnt feel like a 3800 car, you can shove 285s and 315s under it on stock fenders, etc. True everything is more expensive though.

and no matter how fast or nimble that thing is, I won't own a car I don't like looking at.
I haven't been in the tuner world very long, but honestly, it's almost like the survival of the fittest with four wheels and physics. As hard as I try, my decision to upgrade is somehow based on somebody else..I mean...I have my goals, but there's always that correlation where it's never completely original. Can't say I'm not pleased with my materialistic ****, enjoyed the hell out of it today, but I totally feel ya.
