I remember mine. Bought it brand new off the lot in 04. Paperwork took forever it seemed and then they washed it. I remember cutting out the car about 3 times just getting it off the lot since I hadn't driven manual in a while . Good times.

got stuck in a two hour, bumper to bumper, traffic jam on the highway. First time driving it... unsprung comp twin clutch making all sorts of squeaks and rattles haha. People in traffic were scared of me.

Worth it.

yup i remember it well. first time i drove my now evo was at an autox. first time ever driving it, it was currently my friends car. ran it in BS with slicks, blown front shock and just power slided alot of the corners. lol then a huge storm. my first impression... it was hella slow and brakes sucked compared to my prepped and modified k-swap/sc integra with instant power and tq, no lag and brakes that throw u out the windshield. now after having it and modding it, its getting ok. still heavy as crap.

Yeah, I remember the first time I drove my first EVO. The clutch was slipping like mad and the cheapo Megan Turbo Housing Gasket was blown, 3rd was grinding, and reverse was damn near impossible to find. 6 months later it was finally out of my hands.

My first drive with my current car? Quiet and uneventful.

After driving 5 hours I got my Evo 8 in pristine condition for having 78xxx miles, drove it back home with the biggest smile and still have a smile every time I get in it.

First time I drove my RS, I kept muttering, "Holy Mother of Jesus," almost the entire time. It handled and drove like nothing else I considered; it was exactly what I was looking for. By the time I first drove my SE, I pretty much knew what to expect.

The first time I drove the car was a test drive with the current owner riding shotgun. It had a blown OEM bypass valve, and was running low boost, but felt amazing. The handling wasn't as sharp as the turbo RX-8 I was used to, but something about it just felt perfect. I drove it 4+ hours home mostly staying out of boost to avoid surging the compressor. I installed a new Synapse Synchronic BOV a couple of days later and despite not having my tags yet took it for a <1 mile spin just to feel it. The first time I hit full boost in the car I could not believe how savagely it accelerated. I was honestly a little scared lol. I remember thinking I would never need more power than that... bwahaha.

I don't count the test drive as the first b/c i wasnt able to do much on small side roads. But the day I picked it up and drove it home was the best feeling EVER! I never owned a turbo or awd car before. 8 Hr drive home i was more comfortable in the evo then my fathers top of the line hyundai on the drive out. The plates werent exactly legal for the ride home so i behaved myself. About 2 hrs from home the highway went to a dead stop (looked like a car fire way ahead). Just so happened that where we were stopped was right next a turn around. So i decided to turn around and get off the highway. First time I ever went ***** to the wall. The shift to second was horrrrible, didnt know the right clutch/gas combo for a smooth shift. But I took it up to 100 for the first time. My father following me quickly became a spec in the rearview. From that point on everytime I get in it i get a silly smile on my face and boost makes me giggle lol.

The first time I ever drove an evo was the day I bought it, and I flew from MA to OH to buy it(had a buddy look it over and everything) but I certainly shocked the owner telling him I've never driven an evo and making the trip to buy a car that I've never even driven. I was THAT sold on an evo. Do not regret the purchase one bit!

Proceeded to drive the car 11 hours home the following day
