Do you remember the first time you drove your evo?
My evo was my first manual. I knew the theory of how to drive, but practice... not so much. So my first test drive, I stalled the S#!t out of it. When I bought it a few weeks later, I immediately took it to a walmart parking lot and practiced for an hour. lol.
I remember going for a test drive. And My car was tuned at around 300whp. And it was my first turbo car. And it hit full boost. And I was like I got to have it. But will my insurance company let me? And come to find out later. They would for about $80 dollars a month.
I just took my Evo home Nov. 1st. I brought the check for it but hadn't test drove it yet, it all depended on that cause I had already looked it over the day before. My girlfriend was in the back seat when I was checking how well the turbo worked. I remember looking in the rearview mirror and smiling huge.
I remember the car i drove for my first drive being jerky getting into boost, was way different then my 420a eclipse with a 50 trim running 8psi. I knew id have to get used to the throttle but I also knew immediately that I had to have it. Did some negotiating, picked out my color and drove home a few hours later. I remember the young guys who worked at the eealership were like 'cant wait to see tou get on it leaving here' i didnt F that i was still finishing up school and just committed to paying 30k for this car I was going to baby it for the break in period. I drove it around aimlessly for the next few days until I hit the 500miles.
I sure do!
I flew in to Chicago from Columbus, OH... the owner picked me up at the airport, made all the necessary arrangements and payments and than I drove it home.
You know when you drive a different/new car it takes some getting use to, the layout, the controls, seating/hood position etc..... the Evo and I bonded instantly and it seemed like I've already been driving the car for months, that's how I knew I made the right choice
One funny thing that I remember is when I drove home (since it was a decent long drive) I remember always thinking when I was switching lanes and checking for blind spots that the spoiler was always in my perriferal and everytime I thought it was another car LOL

Not one to believe in love at first sight, but I knew she was the right car for me when I saw her sitting in the used dealer lot ahaha! After everything was finalized with 19k for the car at 53xxxx I took her home. For me it was night and day coming from an untuned 96 eclipse gsx (a/t). Acceleration, handling, everything. Hit boost and was like "holy *hit my pants!" lol. Then a good o neon srt started trying to pick a fight on the free way but I just smiled at the guy and ignored him. Man I love my evo.
