2003, Mitsubishi dealership. The day I knew the love affair with my WRX was over.

After driving the dsm all the time with big laggy turbo the evos instant boost puts a smile on almost evryones face that jumps in the car. Except parents of course. So much more fun of a street car and ripping around backroads. Fell in love instantly, bought car next day.

coming from an 02 auto rsx, i had researched many cars at that time. the one that stuck out was the evo. when i went on the hunt for my 2005 electric blue evolution 8, but to my disappointment i could not seem to find one. then as were leaving the dealership in coconut creek florida, a salesman ran up to me and my folks and says we can get one for you give us a little abit. we said alright.

about 1 hour or so goes by and the salesman says let Us the dealership treat you guys to lunch. me and the folks said SURE !!!!

when we got back to the dealership i seen it pull up on a flatbed, beautiful sparkling electric blue. the evo had everything i wanted on my rsx... big red brembo brakes, a big wing lol, and recaro seats stock from the factory also fast as hell stock.

i didn't drive her home because i didn't know how to drive manual years back so my father drove it home. i of course now know how to drive it like no problem.

Nowadays everytime i step into my garage, and look at her , i tend to if not give the car a nod of being pleased, i usually crack a smile !!

I also used to drive a little toyota pick up. When I first drove the IS300 I was grinning. When I find my evo, every drive, I will be grinning ear to ear.

I was 18. Heart was racing , adrenaline was pumping. Will never forget it. Sounds cheesy, but it really felt incredible.

Well to start if off, I learned stick in my evo. The first time I drove it by myself was with my sister when I didn't know how you could slightly let off the clutch and let it engage, because of that I was essentially launching it from stoplight to stoplight so it wouldn't stall. What a great feeling it was though, I felt like I was going to get sucked straight through my seat and out of my car. I need to get that feeling again because these days I feel too used to the power. :'(

The first time I drove my evo was a test drive @ the dealership. I didn't launch but I got out on the highway and went WOT from 2nd through 4th to right about 120 and made the sales guy grab the oh **** handle. Right then and there I knew that was the one I was driving away with lol.

I remember driving it home and thinking 'oh man I'm gonna kill myself in this thing..' yet almost 2 years have gone by and its only getting faster and better ;D

When I first bought it, the one thing that I remember most was the look on the prev. owners face when I drove away. It looked like he gave his newborn baby away. That's how I immediately knew that I got a great car.

bought it from Southcoast so when it got delivered to NJ first thing i did was change the ugly baseball shift knob, then got gas since it was below E, and finally drove it home still mostly wrapped in plastic. (on the way home since i was 19 at the time and stupid got into some illicit spirited competition)

My first test drive was only about a month ago, but it was a good one. Coming from an '05 Ralliart AT with nearly every mod available short of forced induction I figured it wouldn't be a real big difference. Boy, was I wrong... I turned out onto the main road and gave it some throttle. The boost hit, and I was off like a bat out of hell. Didn't even have time to grab second. I was like WTF??!! Did they hook this thing to the plane launcher from an aircraft carrier?

I've gotten used to it since then, but those first 30 seconds were pretty intense. (Insert appropriate "that's what she said" line)

yes i test drove a used 08 Blue X and it was decent, i liked it and the price was wayyyy right but in the end i just could not get over that papa Smurf blue. So i found a Evo IX and i test drove that, with the sales dude, LOL he was telling me to slow down and i was like well dude i gotta see if the Tcase Whines at high speeds LOL. i ended up of course with the Evo IX, as it felt lighter and handled better.
