Do you remember the first time you drove your evo?
Than when I drove it home i'm going to admit, i was a little conservative because I didn't know how the car was going to react to my driving.
I dreamed about evos, collected every magazine featuring one and bought everyone, in every color on every Gran Turismo game. I declared it my favorite car without ever driving one.
Then I drove one. A red 03. I got off the lot okay, but then had to keep throttle at less than 10-15% to avoid clutch slippage. It was awful. The salesperson informed me that it was the short shifter. I informed him it was the clutch. I didn't buy it because I was like 18 and couldn't afford it.
Six years, 4 dsms, an RSX and an S2000 later, I bought and shipped my VIII from CA to TX before ever seeing it in person. I absolutely love it.

haha this thread is classic. 6 years a go when i bought mine and i remember is was so fun driving home that day. I remember telling myself i dont even need to Mod it, but that didnt last long. never thought i would would still have it till this day back then. only thing i wish i would have took a lil better car of it, instead of raping on it that first year.
memorial day 2010 bought my car. the highway was about a quarter mile from the dealership as soon as i get on maybe a couple hundred feet i hit it, and BOOM. i didnt know what happened all i knew was something was wrong i popped the hood and found the Upper IC pipe blew off. i wont forget that day.
I used to own a 3000GT VR-4 before this car so I was well acquainted with driving turbo cars with boost. The first time I drove an Evo was when one of my close friends traded in his bugeye WRX for a TB Evo IX SE. I wasn't as impressed with the speed as much as I was impressed with the handling. There is literally no car like the Evo! There is nothing that feels, handles, and drives like this baby. Thats why I own my own now and I truly enjoy driving her
ZERO regrets here!

driving to get the car nobody looked at me in our suv its like your a ghost , driving the evo home its like it became a magnet for attention heads turning and right away others riding my *** and trying to get me to race lol , the power was awesome much better then my vr6 , but more important was the handling i couldn't believe how sensitive and precise the steering was my vr6 had aftermarket suspension lower all that good stuff and it would corner pretty well but the evo is just in a whole new level. On the down side I have not been so lucky and have had to shell out a lot of money on repairs , the stock turbo failed , then lots of little things here and there but even after all the money in fixes it all worth it in the end take care of it and it will take care of u.
I was looking for a evo for maybe 1.5 years when I found this awesome deal on mine. I was approved of the loan and drove about 45min'ish to go see it. I had previously owned 4 dsm's. 3 of which were turbo and 2 that were awd. The evo was nice, drove well, and had potential. Unfortunately I don't get to exited over thing so I was a bit like meh, when I test drove it. For the $ I paid it was a amazing deal. Since I've owned it I love it even more than the 1'st time I drove it. I'd actually like another in the future, lol.
