header problem

header problem

ok Just the other i was riding around when i started hearing an exhaust leak noise not very noticeable at all later on when i got into boost it sounded like something opened up... so i pulled over popped the hood and on the headers where my external wastegate is wielded to it had broken off and has a about a inch hole in the header i was so pissed and i was just needing know what you guys would do? get new headers? or try wielding it back again? money is an issue right now as im trying to sell my car...
So just let me know what i should do and the wastegate i don't know what to do with it thanks guys!

What material is the manifold made out of? If its anything besides cast welding the flange back on shouldn't be a huge issue. Cast can still be welded but is more difficult.

Well I can make suggestions, but it will cost you a few bucks but in the long run prob be worth it.

I would get rid of that mani if it is cracked and get yourself a good used stock one and have it ported. Second look into a o2 housing that will take your external wg and that should solve that problem. Third I would get rid of that maft setup. There are alot of good tuners that can do the speed density setup and you can eliminate all that stuff and it would help your performance in the car. I am not tring to bash the setup or nothing please dont take it that way, just tring to give ya some better options that will last and take care of the problem.

haha thats funny because that MAFT setup is long gone Dec 1st im running speed density motion lab said that would be whats best but thanks a lot man what do you mean with the o2 housing do you mean move the external wg? and what brand of mani should i go with just a stock 8?

I would personally weld it. Cheaper fix, especially if you're selling the car.

Ah ok well thats good. You will like it much better. I would just go with a stock mani I must have missed that you were selling the car. There are o2 housings such as fp, I think Map sells one, JMF sells one, but they are kinda pricey. As you said your selling the car so that may not be an option. As suggested you may just have it rewelded if the car is gonna go away.
