Mice Advice

Ok so I discovered I have mice in my car and I found the nest in the blower motor. When I pulled the motor out I expected to find the dead mice, but no such luck. Now my question is, is there someway to flush all my vents? I am worried that the mice may still be in the ventilation system and don't want to find out this summer that I missed one.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Chris

Insurance claim?

Take the entire interior out of the car, including dash, blower motor, etc and go through all of it.

or sell it.

Well I don't think the mice are alive in the car. So the mouse traps won't help. I am worried about finding out they are dead when it gets hot out and the smells start. I was hoping there was an easier way than ripping the car apart.

You got your car parked in a field of bushes?LOL. You should try some snap traps and glue boards to see if there is any live ones, what I use out in the field( I'm actually an exterminator but not like
Terminator.Lmfao) is mouse bait, may be risky in a car seeing is you don't want rotting mice in it, try glue boards or a boa lol

I have heard of this before, your car must sit a lot. Gonna be pretty hard to clean the vents w/o pulling the dash and such...

Plenty of cars come through the shop with this problem, seem it quite often as well, like everyone has mentioned before, it sucks but you're best bet would be to take apart the interior, just for ease of mind, they typically only nest in the blower motor though.
As for if you will be keeping it in storage still, I'm sure the dryer sheets will work best like mentioned, I happen to use moth ***** and put them in cups and in tied off socks all around the vehicle and haven't had a problem yet, knock on wood lol.
Good luck!

Try a blow dryer. Send the hot air into the vent. Blow dryers can get to 1800 watts. Hot as hell. I think they will run out. Just place something at the other ends to catch them as they charge out. If that does not work, smoke them out.
If all does not work burn them out. Squirt some gas in the vent. One match should do it. Easy. Just make sure you have good ins.
