If you did buy a used Evo, please post:

1) 2003
2) 74000
3) salesman kinda screwed me- needed tires alignment and brake pads and said it passed inspection. its not a big deal but still bugged me but once i fixed it and drove it I LOVE IT and remember that u'll have a nasty car everyone will be jealous of

Thanks.[/quote]

The car was a lemon law buy-back. The previous owner complained that it made "strange whiney noises in 1st gear." I was able to get my hands on the service detail for the car, and mitsu replaced the transmission (even though I doubt there was anything wrong with it). I have had zero problems. The car presently has 37K miles on it.

3. Bought my EVO just a few months ago completely stock and barely ever driven which kept it pretty mint. The car sat alot which was cool cuz it didnt get alot use but sittin around for along time can be bad too. Car ran great but the two front struts were beginning to rust from sittin along time. I had to replace both front struts besides that my EVOs perfect and now had taken over my life haha

2) 68,000 (bought in mid 2007)
3) I think I had to do brakes and timing belt service the first year or two. Easily the most reliable car I've owned.

3. Bone stock except for random TBE, POS eBay MBC, ACT 6 puck clutch and lowered on Tein springs.

Heard a noise at purchse but couldn't confirm, it was very quiet and minor. Now that winter is in full swing I found out I have a couple dead lifters. Very minor issue in my opinion and probably made worse due to winters wrath. Car is lowered on Tein springs w/ stock shocks (do not like and suggest NEVER doing), the stock BOV was leaking and the MBC was some eBay POS mounted to the stock upper intercooler piping that cause a minor dent in the piping due to the hood hitting it. Got a brand new Grimmspeed MBC for $100 off a buddy in red, a GFB BOV for $125 used w/ 3k miles on it and lifters are being fixed when tmiing belt is due ($100 for lifters, $100 in labor).

Past those few minor "issues" this car is an aboslute dream and I don't regret one cent of the $12k I paid for it. I daily drive it still and it has just shy of 114k on it right now.

If you bought my car, let me know how it has been treating you. Sorry, but I don't recall your screen name. I still miss her sometimes, it was a 2006 white MR and you flew out to CA to pick it up with your buddy. She was 100% reliable when I had her, which is half the reason I miss her.
