hey guys i need the question to be answered fast..can i switch just the housing of evo 9 hid to my evo 8 non hid....iam just wanting to switch housing to the black chrome on 9 ..pls let me know fast if its ok..iam keeping the harness the same just switching housing ..will it work

You should be able to. I switched housings from a JDM VIII headlight to a IX. They were both hid though. The only thing that I would be concerned with is that the non hid has that blocked off fog light. I'm not sure what is behind that blocked part and how it would look with an open housing. Why don't you just paint the housings black? There are a few DIY threads on here..

 

why switch housings? just swap out your non HID headlamps and put either the 9 headlights or jdm evo 8 Mr headlamps. both have black housings one is a flat black the other is a black chrome look. i cant understand why you'd want to make the big hassle of opening them up and what not....

 

^yeah that what iam doing sorry about the post iam not changing housing just the light bulbs into non hid evo 9 headlight..i was not even going to try to switch the housing lol to much work..i was asking if it can work putting the bulbs and wiring on an evo 9 headlight..thanx
